Hosted a potluck dinner of sorts during National Day, my form of celebration with the nation!
Told my friends to come at 7pm, and had a mad rush as I accompanied the embassy and the St. Anthony’s Canossian girls to an orphanage for abandoned girls. Then, we went to picnic at a nearby waterfall.
Pretty tiring, if I may say, although I didnt do anything much, save to eat. Woot.
So anyhow, reached my apartment at 1500 and knocked out till 1730. Quickly went to buy some food, realised I didnt have enough plates, cups, forks and spoons! And as the food already burst my budget, luckily my quick wits saved the day (and my money!). Borrowed from my landlady. Yay!
Reached my apartment amidst the huffing and puffing at 1830. Waited for them to arrive.
Waited.
And waited.
And waited.
One finally arrived. At 1945.
The rest came fashionably late at 2015!
My goodness! 2015 is 2115 Sg time!
I am famished!
I was gonna eat my table!
Then I realised it happens ALL the time we went out for dinner. 7pm means 7.30pm.
At least.
Ok. I must try to understand, that I am not in Sg. Even if I were in, well, I am the culprit to be late lah. Ha! So there goes…..

Oh my goodness! I have seen the BEST anime ever!
Fantabulously bestest ever!
Ok.
It can’t beat my all time fave, Full Metal Alchemist.
But still best ever!
Not making sense here, but hey, you choose to read my blog!
So anyways, the anime is called One Piece.
About a group of pirates going around to save the world, or sorts.
It is so good, I turn down appointments, changed the timing of my gym sessions, just so I can rush back to catch it!
It starts at 5pm, Laotian time and ends at 6pm. There is a repeat at 6.30am the following morning. I watch BOTH!
Ha!
Anyhow, I am darn pissed when the stupid station took it down to screen some silly cartoon called Conan the boy detective or something..
My anguish could be heard 2 streets away.
The birds all fled from the neighbouring trees.
My neighbour thought I had a heart attack or something… How could this happen!
My only REAL entertainment! Sob…
Oh wait.
I also watch others such as the Tea Road to Skies- Darn good documentary from Australia about Tibet. But it ended also…
Oh wait.
Actually Conan is not bad after all…
Maybe. Just maybe. Muahahhaha….

Going to Bangkok tomorrow for the weekend.
To celebrate my teacher’s day of sorts!
Meeting army pals, Daniel and Barry, who incidentally, will also be mentioned in my book.
Daniel is based in Bangkok and Barry is a doctor in Oz.
Just so happened that Barry will be there this weekend, so all of us will meet up! Missing Kenny only. The four of us used to hang out and play mahjong! Same people different times…
Albeit short trip lah.
I must EAT to my fill this time…
And buy back half a village’s worth of food…
ahhahah. Woohoo…..
